Hello, Liz here, only 4 years later! Great to see Bristol Brass going so well and congratulations on 21 years! Really pleased that me and Lawrence had that chance meeting....

A long way from the earliest meetings at the travel agent in Bedminster. Remember when my poor old mini van got nicked?! Loved seeing that early flyer, I'd forgotten all about that.

Hi Lawrence here, and yes I’m still alive and still blowing…the trumpet that is. As the great Maurice Murphy once said, “As long as I’ve got teeth I’ll keep blowing!” Now where did I put my new set, I think the dog may have them. Seriously, I’m proud and honoured that the BBC is still going strong after all these years, and just to think a chance meeting between myself and Liz Lane, in Duck, Son & Pinker’s Music Shop all those years a go would have been so fruitful.
My warmest regards to the whole group, and thanks for asking me back to play…the invite must’ve got lost in the post!! Good luck fot the future and I’m still composing so if you are still interested in my quintet and a few other fanfares I’ve written please let me know.

Looking forward to the concert on May 6th. I am coming along to be one of the many trombonists appearing for the Strauss. However, I still don’t know if I am playing alto, tenor or bass bone yet! Hope a decision is made soon:-)
